Leather medicine bag

In the winter when I am not tending to the land and the gardens, I'm tinkering away with leatherwork to keep my hands busy. These are small and simple handmade by me leather pouches that are perfect for carrying around your favorite homeopathic remedy, herbs or offerings for the land.

In honoring Indegenous practices and my Cherokee roots, the practice of reciprocity is very important when stewarding the land. A give and receive if you will. Nourishing the land in which we harvest herbs from is vitally important, and proper practices ensure that happens. Many herbalists enjoy leaving something from where they gather plants, such as a pinch of tobacco or other offering. These pouches are a great way to carry around just that. 

These are gifted to the women who come to my mountain retreats, however, so many of their family and friends have asked to purchase one upon seeing it. I make these in extremely small batches, which is why you'll see them sold out most of the time. Late winter and early spring are when I have more available.
